Shri Ram Katha: The Divine Story of Lord Ram

Shri Ram Katha is based on the great book Ramayana, written by Sage Valmiki. It tells the story of Lord Ram, the seventh form of Lord Vishnu, who came to Earth to bring back goodness (Dharma) and destroy evil.
Chapter 1 – Bāl Kānd
This chapter describes Lord Ram’s birth and childhood. It tells how he was born as the son of King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalya in Ayodhya and how he grew up with his brothers. It also includes his early education and his marriage to Mata Sita.
Chapter 2 – Ayodhyā Kānd
This chapter narrates how Lord Ram was exiled for 14 years due to Queen Kaikeyi’s wish. It also describes his leaving Ayodhya along with Mata Sita and Lakshman, and the sadness of the people of Ayodhya.
Chapter 3 – Aranya Kānd
In this part, Lord Ram, Sita, and Lakshman live in the forest. It includes their meetings with sages, battles with demons, and the kidnapping of Mata Sita by Ravana, the king of Lanka.
Chapter 4 – Kishkindhā Kānd
This chapter tells how Lord Ram meets Hanuman and Sugriva, the monkey king. It describes the battle between Sugriva and Bali and how Sugriva’s army helps Lord Ram in his mission to find Mata Sita.
Chapter 5 – Sunder Kānd
The most divine part of the Ramayana, Sunder Kānd is mainly about Hanuman’s journey to Lanka. It describes how Hanuman crosses the ocean, meets Mata Sita, and burns Lanka with his divine power.
Chapter 6 – Lankā Kānd
This chapter tells about the great war between Lord Ram and Ravana. It includes the mighty battle, the defeat of Ravana, and the victory of dharma over evil.
Chapter 7 – Uttar Kānd
The final chapter describes Lord Ram’s return to Ayodhya and his coronation as king. It also narrates his rule as an ideal king and the final events of his life.
