No one said you shouldn’t eat noodles, but eating them every day is where me and you will fight.

Did you know noodles are basically made from refined flour?

If you watch how noodles are made on YouTube or TikTok, you’ll see why they cook so fast.

They contain additives to help them last longer, which is why they’re classified as fast food. Eating them every day is almost like eating junk food daily.

Here is a safer way to enjoy them:

➼ Parboil for two to three minutes first, pour the water away, then cook again.

➼ Add onions or vegetables like Tomatoes, Scotch Bonnet pepper or bell peppers to boost nutrients.

➼ Eat with eggs, preferably in an equal ratio, like two noodles to two eggs.

➼ Use the seasoning moderately, for example, one sachet for two noodles.

➼ Limit noodles to once a week.

Most instant noodle seasonings are low in essential nutrients and contain a high amount of sodium, usually between 800mg and 1,200mg.

WHO recommends less than 2,000mg of sodium per day. Now imagine eating 3 packs of noodles in the morning and still eating other salty foods throughout the day.

That is already a high-sodium diet.

Eating too much sodium can increase blood pressure, raise the risk of heart disease, and even strain the kidneys.

Please eat noodles responsibly. With time, your body will adjust.
