The baseline Shiny rate in Pokémon echo is 1:512. You can greatly increase the likelihood of encountering a Shiny Pokémon through the following methods:

| Catching all Pokémon in an area (Gold Poké Ball on Town Map) | +2 rerolls |
| Finding all Obscured Hollows in an area (Gold Pickaxe on Town Map) | +1 reroll |

Each time the game generates a Pokémon, there is a ‘roll’ of chance that determines whether the Pokémon will be shiny. By earning additional rerolls, you essentially get more chances for the Pokémon to be shiny.
