The materials are available either for borrowing or for reading-in-house.

Borrowing:

• One book per person
• Books need to be borrowed and returned to the same place (address upon request)
• No annotations or markings on pages (leaving post-it’s or loose notes are welcome)
• One time deposit of 7 EUR * (returned upon book return)
• Twenty one day borrowing period (with every extra day, a fine of 2 EUR is charged. In case of exceptional circumstances where the book cannot be returned on time, please inform us via email in advance)

Reading-in-house:

• By appointment only and
• During open-hours

*This collection is put together with a lot of care and we hope that you will treat the materials with the utmost care as you treat your own. Please note that border!border! library is entirely self-funded and run on volunteer-time. This means that we rely on our readers to be mindful while using the materials and respect the borrowing periods. We only have single copy of each book so with every time a reader holds on to a book longer than the allotted borrowing period (21 days/three weeks), another community member loses access to the book. We charge a small deposit fee to ensure that in case a book is damaged or lost, we are able to get another copy. We sincerely hope that is not the case and we can mutually agree on the shelf-rules to maintain the upkeep of this free, small library.
