Wow it's been sometime since I wrote here... Thought I would share the things we talked about this week - that video/framing I thought was cool, new nails 💅🏽, psoas, bridge pins, and an improv recording I found that I have no recollection of.

Video/Framing I was referencing

The particular shot can be seen from 0:00-0:18 and then it returns from 2:16-2:30, video has a 4k resolution. I discovered this channel when I was looking into mics as he had some videos about the ribbon mic I ended up with and I exchanged some messages with him.

Nails

As I mentioned I've been experimenting with Nail Dipping Powders. Sometimes you'll see them called SNS Nails. In the US getting some of these materials can be tricky, for example Amazon doesn't sell them unless you have a Beauty Retail License or something so I found them on ebay. I'm using the OPI Clear Nail Dipping Powder:

I use this in combination with this set of 4 liquids from Kiara Sky. There are some videos online on how to do it and salons should offer it to though they might not make use of all the compounds.

These in combination with the SoundFile, Breurer Cordless Drill, Lint Free Wipes, and the Sand Paper is currently the complete kit.

Recording

I found this recording on my phone from mid-may and it was funny as I honestly had no idea what I was doing or that I even played it, I usually remember. It's pretty rough in some places wasn't sure if I should even share but I think captured some element of where I'm at when I can get into a flowing and less thinking state though I go in and out.

Bridge Pin?

I think I mentioned a while ago if you had heard of these odd bridge pins... I ended up finding what I was referencing... it's these, fairly expense but I might give it a spin... https://www.ayersmusic.com/products/awesome-device-ebony-bone

Psoas

This is the video of this guy from Portland OR who ran a gym but I don't know if it made it through the pandemic. In this video he shows using a harder ball and kettlebell to get into the psoas.
