Zero-Tolerance Rules

Violating one of these rules will result in an automatic permanent ban from the community! This is subject to the discretion of the admin.

• Exploiting
• Slurs against someone's race, ethnic background, orientation, or disabilities
• Sexual harassment
• Stalking/Predatory/Creepy behaviour towards a member(s) of the community.
• Suicide RP - any form.
• Roleplay bleed:
  • IC activities that bleed into OOC harassment.
  • OOC feelings that corrupt the RP experience IC.
• Discord calls/third-party communication while in-game
• FPS Boost packs that remove clouds, shadows, and vegetation
• The use of third-party crosshairs is not permitted.

General Rules

• Stay In Character: Breaking character is strictly prohibited. Do not break character to call out rule violations. If you suspect a rule break, complete the current roleplay scene and report it afterwards through the proper channels. If you experience technical issues, do your best to roleplay them out in a way that makes sense within the story.
• Metagaming: Using out-of-character information to influence in-character decisions is strictly forbidden. This includes information obtained from Twitch, Discord calls, third-party apps, or private conversations outside the server. You cannot be in a Discord call or any other voice call while on the server. This is considered metagaming and will result in punishment. You cannot watch a Shadow City RP Twitch stream while you are in the city at any time. Exception: You may do so if you are an active Twitch Moderator for that stream.
• Powergaming: Powergaming means forcing roleplay outcomes, using game mechanics unfairly, or ignoring the reasonable limits of the game world. Players must always have a fair chance to react or respond. You may not take or use your own friends or group members as hostages without a valid in-character reason or story context.
• Combat Logging: Logging out or disconnecting to avoid consequences — such as arrest, injury, robbery, or death — is strictly forbidden and may result in a permanent ban. If your game crashes, reconnect as soon as possible and inform the other players involved.
• VDM (Vehicle Deathmatch): Using a vehicle as a weapon to intentionally harm or take down another player without a valid roleplay reason is not allowed. Vehicles should never be used as weapons except in the rarest and most justifiable roleplay scenarios, with clear in-character reasoning.
• RDM (Random Deathmatch): Randomly killing, attacking, or injuring another player without legitimate roleplay justification is prohibited. Being insulted or verbally provoked is not a valid reason to attack or bring down another player unless it stems from a properly built story.
• Voice ID: if a player is wearing a face covering more then 50% of their face, then their identity is hidden, and you may not identify the player based on their voice.
