Settings App

The Settings app allows you to customize the appearance and behavior of your smartphone widget. GMs also have access to additional administrative settings.

Accessing the App:

Tap the Settings icon (typically a gear ⚙️) on the Home Screen.

Main Menu:

• The main screen presents a list of setting categories. Tap on a category to view its specific options.
• Display (🖥️): Customize the visual appearance of your phone, including wallpaper and frame style.
• Sounds (🔊): Adjust notification volume and change specific sounds like ringtones.
• General (🔧): Configure general widget behaviors like time format and position.
• GM Only (👑 - Visible only to GMs): Access advanced administrative settings for managing devices, phone numbers, banking, time, actor types, and the app store. (See the GM Guide section for details on these).

Display Settings:

• Wallpaper:
  • Change Wallpaper: Tap this option to open the Foundry VTT File Picker. You can select an image or video file to use as your phone's background.
  • Remove Wallpaper: Tap this to revert to the default dark background.
  • Wallpaper Fit: Choose how the wallpaper image/video is displayed:
    • Cover: The image/video scales to fill the entire screen, potentially cropping parts of it.
    • Contain: The image/video scales down to fit entirely within the screen, potentially leaving empty space (bars) around it.

Frame Style:

• Choose from a wide variety of visual styles for the phone's outer frame (bezel). Styles range from modern and sleek to fantasy and sci-fi themes.
• Tap on a style preview to instantly apply it to your phone widget.

Sounds Settings:

• Notification Sound (Toggle Switch): Turn notification sounds for new messages on or off globally.
• Volume Slider: Adjust the volume level for all smartphone notifications and sounds.
• Custom Sounds: Tap on the following options to open the File Picker and select a custom audio file (.mp3, .ogg, .wav, etc.) for each:
  • Messages (💬): Sound played for incoming text messages.
  • Ringtone (🔔): Sound played for incoming voice calls.
  • Connecting Tone (🎵): Sound played to the caller while the recipient's phone is ringing (also known as color ring).
