1. Set up the required Google Shopping fields

The Google Shopping feed you import into Aiden needs to have at least the following 5 required fields:

Required fields

<aside> ⚠️ The names of these fields should be exactly as above, as this is the same naming that Google Shopping expects. Variations (e.g. title_product) are not accepted and will lead to an error.

<aside> ⚠️ Every single product in the feed should have a valid value for these fields. Blank fields are not accepted and wil lead to an error when setting up your feed.

1.1 Enable the availability field

Next to these 5 required fields, the additional field Availability is available in the Google Shopping format. If you enable this field in your feed manager, the availability status of your products will automatically be taken into account by Aiden. Products that are listed as 'out of stock' will not be shown on the advice page of your app.

1.2 Enable the sale_price field

Use the sale_price attribute in your Google Shopping feed if you want to show both the price and the sale price of the products in your product finder. This way, customers will know how much you're charging for your product during a promotion.

If you enable the sale_price field in your feed manager, the sale price of your products will automatically be taken into account by Aiden. For products that have a value in sale_price, this price will automatically be shown next to the regular price of your product.

<aside> 💡 Want to show the sale price only during a specific time period? Then add the sale_price_effective_date attribute to your feed. Using this attribute, the available sale price will only be shown during the date range for which the sale price applies.
