Session Overview

Sam flagged that design skills and elements in Downloads were off-brand and asked to get them rectified ASAP. Scope: the two skill folders /Downloads/sa-design-elements and /Downloads/sa-design-system. Both were audited against the canonical brand truth source, the sail-design-foundation skill (v1.0.0, updated 2026-05-19).

What Was Found

sa-design-elements (SKILL.md, element-quick-card.md, inline-snippets.html): roughly 90% brand-correct. Drift found: 8 off-scale border-radius:8px (the radius scale is 6/12/14/20/28); the banned rgba(11,33,45,0.85) navy-glass value actively applied in the CTA banner overlay gradient (the skill's own ban list even forbids it); body text at 13/14/15px below the 17px standard; non-canonical hairline borders #eef1f3 and #d8dde0; one orange-on-white contrast fail on the timeline label; no inherits line.

sa-design-system (SKILL.md plus 8 reference files): the serious problem. SKILL.md prose looked correct, but all 8 component reference files were built on a wholly wrong palette: navy #0a2240 (not firm #0B212D), gold #d4af37 (not firm orange #F89C22), cream backgrounds (#f6f4ee, #e5e0d4, #cfc8b6), generic grays (#333, #666, #6b7280, #1f2937), and stray accents (#2563eb blue, #2e7d32 green, #d97706 amber). A different brand wearing the SA name.

Both folders also predate sail-design-foundation and lacked an inherits line, so they were stale.

What Was Done

1. Full timestamped backup to Downloads/Archives/sa-design-skills-backup-20260520-230249 for rollback.
2. Two parallel agents rewrote both folders to canonical sail-design-foundation tokens. sa-design-system: wrong palette swapped across all files. sa-design-elements: surgical fixes.
3. Manual cleanup of items outside the agent briefs: sidebar CTA radius corrected to 14px (canonical --r-lg); #eef1f3 hairline borders to rgba(11,33,45,0.08); #d8dde0 form border to rgba(11,33,45,0.12); off-scale label sizes (13/15px) to 14/17px; timeline label orange to #e58a10 for white-background contrast; 11px kicker raised to the 12px mobile floor.
4. Verified: every hex in both folders is now canonical; radius all on-scale; both SKILL.md inherit sail-design-foundation; zero banned values; fonts all Poppins.
5. general-elements.md kept as the intentional non-SA generic fallback (not converted to firm tokens); a clarifying label was added.

Decisions Made

• The upfront clarifying question returned no selection, so the safe non-destructive default was used: fix both folders, keep them, delete nothing, retain the backup.
• Installed skills under the read-only skills path were not modified; they were used only as the truth source.
