Spectrum management is an integral element for providing connectivity for enhancing access and efficiency of digital infrastructure. However, there is necessity to answer a number of policy and regulatory questions in the context of spectrum management. Among such questions include how to address the increasing demand for additional spectrum and formulate a roadmap for allocating spectrum; how to valuate the role of radio spectrum in national economy and society; and what industry policy to be adopted. These questions are important to be studied and answered and it is national and regional interest to do so.
Considering the interest and demand of the members and the current situation of COVID-19 pandemic, APT is taking new initiatives and approaches to reach the membership in innovative way. ‘APT Web Dialogue Series on Spectrum Management’ has been planned to address such needs of the membership. Each series will cover a broad topic related to the spectrum management. Among those may include 5G, national spectrum policy, spectrum for satellites including mega constellation, Intelligent Transport Services (ITS) and many others aspects of spectrum management. Series may have multiple episodes of 60 to 90 minutes to address various critical aspects related to the topic. Eminent speakers and experts from governments, regulators, industry and academia will be invited to each episode.
