At the very top of the chart is the equipment run data from the Thermostat Detail chart. More information on that can be found here.
Whether or not the sensor is reporting occupancy. Note that this is not motion, but ecobee's interpreted occupancy value.

The tooltip is where all the detail is at; it's fairly self-explanatory. Everything is color-coordinated and if you have a series hidden it will not show on the tooltip.
A dot to the right of a row indicates occupancy. Equipment state is not included on this tooltip.
The card menu provides a couple quick selections for your date range. If you need more flexibility, use the Custom option to pick any range.
The Custom selector will let you pick from two modes, both with a max of 7 days range and as far back as 90 days:
