Content Removal Guidelines
Givebutter's terms of service allow us to "edit or remove any User Generated Content submitted to the Site." This means that it's ultimately to Givebutter's discretion to determine what Content we allow on our platform.
Criteria for removal
While any Content may be submitted for removal, the following should always be flagged if found:
- Unlawful content
- Depictions or allusions to violence
- Hate, discrimination, and harassment
- Legal defense funds for serious crimes
- Fraud, deception, and financial schemes
- Pornography, graphic content

Process for flagging
- Send/Tag a message to all members of the Content Moderation Team
- When applicable, inform the User that their Content is being reviewed by Givebutter's Content Moderation Team
- The Content Moderation Team will review and get back to you with a decision and any next steps for removal
