Learn more about how to seat guests using Eat App

Eat App provides you with all the tools necessary to track your customers as they go through their dining journey. This includes the process of seating your guests once they arrive for their reservation or if a first time customer walks into your restaurant.

Seating Guests

When a guest arrives for their reservation, seating them is as simple as clicking and dragging their reservation onto a table. Alternatively, click on any reservation and change their status to "Seated" to automatically move the reservation to their assigned table.

Seating a Walk In

When a first time customer visits your restaurant, use the walk in selector at the bottom of floor view to select a party size, then click on any empty table on your floor plan to instantly create a walk in reservation for that table at the current time and seat the guests.

This reservation can be edited at any time in the future to add more details if needed.

Combining Tables

Sometimes, you might have guests that show up with more people in their reservation than they mentioned over the phone or when making a reservation online. To remedy this situation on the fly, seat the reservation as you normally would then click and drag any empty table onto the currently occupied table. This will automatically assign the reservation to more than one table.

Alternatively, add a nearby table to the reservation from the edit reservation screen.

Moving Tables

To change your guest's table once they've already been seated, simply drag their reservation to any unoccupied table. This will automatically shift their table and assign it to their reservation.
