The hackathon judging is based on a co-efficient system where a total score is calculated by multiplying the sum of all applicable criteria points by the judge's final score.

A team's Total Score is calculated as:

Total Score =(∑Points from Mandatory Criteria+∑Points from Optional Criteria)×Judge’s Score

Mandatory Criteria (Rules 2, 3, 4, and 5)

These four rules are the core of the scoring. A team's project will be evaluated on these criteria, which are worth a total of 1.0 point.

• Deliver a Functional Prototype (0.3): The project must be a live, working prototype built during the hackathon. No pre-built core features are allowed.
• Articulate Clear Benefits (0.1): Teams must quantify the impact of their solution. This includes demonstrating clear benefits using metrics like time saved, cost reduction, or revenue models.
• Using Opendata portal to strength your MVP with data (0.2): Teams are required to integrate data from the Opendata portal. If the portal's data is not suitable for a project, the team must still demonstrate they checked it, and this criterion will be evaluated.
• Github push in every hour, at least 6 pushes during the coding (0.4): Teams must show consistent progress by committing and pushing their code to a GitHub repository every hour, with a minimum of six total pushes during the coding period.

Optional Criteria (Asterisk Rules)

These are bonus rules that provide an opportunity for teams to earn an additional +0.4 points. These criteria are not required, but teams that complete them will have a higher co-efficient, which significantly boosts their final score.

• Leverage Sponsor Platforms (+0.2): This bonus is for teams that successfully integrate and offer a solution for a hackathon sponsor.
• Deploy your project on Cloud Run/Vercel/Github pages (+0.2): Teams can earn extra points by successfully deploying their project on one of the specified platforms.
