We deeply believe in creating an inclusive and diverse conference and want to make sure that everyone is able to participate. We do not want your thirst for knowledge to be limited due to any social or economic hardships.

That is why React India has organized a diversity/scholarship program to help you attend this international event and learn about React from the pros. We also want to make sure that local students and others residents are able to attend.

What are the Goals of the Diversity Scholarship Program?

• To foster an environment that appreciates and values increasingly diverse participation in Open-Source technologies.
• To recognize and provide opportunities for the marginalized group who have limited infrastructure to contribute and learn new technologies
• To enable tech conferences with best practices and commitment to diversity and inclusion, and/or leadership in bridging the participation gaps with underrepresented groups, through opportunities, mentoring, resource sharing, networking, community service, or other involvement.

If you would like to take part in the React India 2022 and wish to be considered under the Diversity program you can fill out this form.

What is the eligibility to apply for the Scholarship program?

We will use a rubrics assessment to check the eligibility of each applicant and based on the priorities met the selection committee will assess if you are eligible for the program. The eligibility requirements include:

1. Applicants must be from a traditionally underrepresented and/or marginalized group in the technology and/or open source communities who are unable to attend without some financial assistance. Including, but not limited to: persons identifying as LGBTQIA+, women, persons of color, and/or persons with disabilities.
2. We especially invite and welcome Black, Indigenous & People of Color, QTIBIPOC/LGBTQIA+ people, people with disabilities, and people facing economic or social hardships.
3. The applicant must be currently enrolled as a student or nonworking professional (in the case of a nonworking professional you need to provide additional details in the form)
4. Active Open Source contributor.
