Mission

Our mission is to help stop climate change by accelerating the transition to a zero carbon economy.

Businesses are key to this solution, and climate programs are fast becoming standard for companies. Investor pressure is building: BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, announced they expect every company to develop a plan for getting to net zero emissions. Climate disclosure is required for large companies in the UK and Europe. And people want to work for and buy from businesses that are acting on climate. Every company is wrestling with how to do this.

But we've seen firsthand that it's a hard problem. At Stripe, we built the climate program and were surprised how few tools existed in the space. Now we’re building the data sets, tools, and marketplace that businesses need to succeed.

Watershed provides everything that a business needs to have true climate impact: data analytics to understand their carbon footprint, tools to execute on carbon reductions, easy purchasing of clean energy and carbon offsets, and help communicating their impact. Leading companies like Square, Shopify, Sweetgreen, and Stripe use Watershed to cut carbon quickly.

Sales hire

We're looking for a first sales hire to bring Watershed to more companies. We're at an inflection point: every large company is launching a climate program as pressure for action builds every day. You'll do whatever it takes to get those companies on Watershed and help them be effective. As the founding member of our go-to-market organization, you'll build the sales playbook from scratch, shape Watershed's product and help us build a stellar team.
