1. Statement of Commitment
Team Sukata is fully committed to providing a safe, positive and supportive environment for all children and young people.
We recognise our duty of care under:
- Children Act 1989 & 2004
- Working Together to Safeguard Children (HM Government)
- Keeping Children Safe in Out-of-School Settings (2020)
- Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts (Sport England)
- Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
Our priority is the physical and emotional wellbeing of every child.
2. Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)

Role: Owner & Head girl Instructor
Responsibility:
- Receiving safeguarding concerns
- Documenting incidents
- Contacting appropriate authorities if needed
- Ensuring staff follow safeguarding procedures
A second DSL can be appointed in 2026 (ex: Mario Sukata) for additional support.
