Hi, there. It's Jesse.
I've been in the music industry for over twenty years. Many of you know me. Many of you probably don't. I've held marketing positions within major record labels, indie record labels, major brands, and artist management companies. I've run my own digital marketing companies, record labels, and artist management firms. And I've handled the marketing for a wide-variety of top-selling RIAA-Certified PLATINUM and RIAA-Certified GOLD music and entertainment products. Working with music creators has been a highlight of my life.
While I was busy helping artists fulfill their dreams, I started investing in companies and meeting fellow entrepreneurs. I started with real estate investments, then retail brands, then CPG, tech, crypto, etc. Ultimately, investing became a part-time job for myself and my wife. Recently, I left a small artist management company to become a full-time investor. I'm deeply enjoying my daily work; I spend my time analyzing companies and speaking to talented entrepreneurs and big dreamers. I love learning about their businesses and what problems they're trying to solve. It's incredibly rewarding work. And I can't wait to do more.
However, I'm sometimes asked to consult and advise on various music projects. While I am flattered, I'm not consulting and I can't possibly help everyone who asks. So I put together this free kit to hopefully get folks started without me.
The Ultimate Music Marketing Kit is just that - an attempt to help as many people as possible. This is why I made it free. I want to share a few things that have worked for me and hopefully you can take what you need, ignore what you don't need, and run with it. It's definitely not for everyone. But if it's for you, I hope you are able to extract something valuable. As they say, your mileage may vary.
As a companion to the Ultimate Music Marketing Launch Kit, I've also put together a private Telegram group chat for everyone. After you access the kit, make sure and jump into the Telegram group and network with other music bizzers - ask questions, share your own insight, and continue your music business journey.
Like most creative projects, this thing will likely have a beginning, a middle, and an end. The Ultimate Music Marketing Kit is a work-in-progress. I will continue to update it and add additional insight as needed. If things work, I will add additional topics or resources. And if they don't, then I will remove or tweak as needed.
