SSSA’s division structure is intended to give members an opportunity to find and interact with other members with similar interests. Divisions facilitate planning for CANVAS, and help coordinate programs and services. Divisions also provide a voice in Society governance, with each of the 14 divisions represented on the SSSA Board of Directors through Groups.
As a benefit of membership, members may join any/all SSSA Divisions. Division membership is easily modified online through a member’s account by visiting the “My Account” feature online: https://www.sciencesocieties.org/my-account. Division chairs may review the list of members in their division by clicking the "Members" tab in their Member Hub circle.
SSSA is committed to creating, developing, and improving opportunities for divisions. As such, services will be provided to the division leadership through the chair and chair-elect officers. These will generally be managed by SSSA staff. These services include:
Soil organic matter dynamics; biogeochemistry of deficient nutrients, long-term soil sustainability management practices, belowground processes and rhizosphere dynamics, water relations/hydrology, and soil biodiversity.
Manufacturing technology, additives, coating techniques, evaluation, and soil test analysis.
