🧠How to Use This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
This SOP is your go-to guide for producing polished, error-free deliverables that meet Athena’s standards of clarity and professionalism.
⏰ When to Use This SOP
Use this SOP:
- Before submitting any deliverable (email, doc, message, calendar, etc.)
- When preparing for a portfolio artifact
- Anytime you’ve completed a task and want to confirm it’s truly “done well”
- When giving feedback on a peer’s work or reviewing your own
Whether the task is big or small, internal or client-facing, your standard should be the same: Is this clean, clear, and client-ready?
🪜 Steps
Each section below covers a key element of XP-level attention to detail. Attention to detail means slowing down to ensure every part of your work is complete, correct, and polished. It's the difference between "done" and "done well.”
Expand and review each one carefully.
Step 1: Align with the Objective and the Audience
- Clarity of Objective and Audience
Step 2: Use a Formatting Checklist
Step 3: Apply an AI Review for Tone and Structure
- CCT (Context, Clarity, Tone) Framework
Step 4: Final Alignment with the Original Task Description
⚠️ Watch Outs
- Don’t skip the context, make sure your deliverable signals what it's about and why it matters.
- Don’t confuse completion with clarity. Clarity means structure. Make sure your message flows logically and guides the reader.
- Don’t overlook tone, it’s not about sounding fancy; it’s about sounding confident, respectful, and client-aware.
