Purpose

Standard operating procedure for capturing business card details into the Notion CRM using the automated Slack-to-Notion pipeline.

When to Use

• After a networking event, meetup, or conference
• Whenever you receive a physical business card you want to store

What You Need

• Your phone (camera)
• Access to the #connections Slack channel

Steps

1. Take a photo of the business card

• Use your phone camera
• Make sure the card is flat, well-lit, and all text is legible
• Avoid shadows, glare, or fingers covering text
• One card per photo

2. Post the photo to Slack

• Open Slack and go to the #connections channel
• Upload the photo directly into the channel
• No message text needed - just the image

3. Wait for processing

• The n8n workflow triggers automatically on file upload
