How to use this guide
Use the table of contents links below to move to the section you want, quickly. Or you can scroll through. CMD-F (on a Mac) or CTRL-F (on a PC) will bring up the “find” function if you want to look for a particular word or phrase.
Some sections are collapsed into toggles. Just click on the little triangle to the left of the heading to expand or collapse the section. (Clicking on the actual heading won’t do anything, you have to click on the toggle…)

If you look to the right, you will see a “ladder” - this is visible from anywhere in the Guide and is quick-access to the Table of Contents.
Many of the previously separate documents have been incorporated into this information resource to reduce duplication, enable faster access, and ensure you have the latest info. Some have been added within as “pages” and you will find they are represented by a page icon and then the name. If you know the page you’re looking for, you can click on the Home button above and change your view to All Pages. Then just click on the page you want. To return to this view, click on All Pages and select Home. Try it now so you know what I mean!
There are still some separate documents (for example, a form that you may need to print) and they will reside in the Hub, but there will be a link to it in this document so you don’t have to go hunting there. Just remember to log into the SLS Hub first so when you click on the link it will take you straight to the document. Clickable links are shown in red and underlined, like my email address below, so you can easily identify them.
If something is unclear or out of date, email **belinda@surflifesaving.net.au** so it can be improved. All changes will be live on this page as soon as they are made.
Lastly, there is a little more functionality if you “sign-up” for a free Notion account, including a downloadable desktop app and a mobile App. Signing up will enable email notifications detailing any changes that may be made (yes, you can turn them off), and access to the “Library” where you can view how long ago any changes were made.
But, if you don’t want to create an account, you can continue to reference all the information just by saving this link and accessing it via your internet browser of choice. Regardless of which way you access the Guide, whenever any changes are made they will be visible immediately. </aside>
