Purpose

SMC-MACD is an analysis indicator that visualizes structure and contextual tools (SMC lines, zones, fib levels) and provides optional event notifications (alerts).

It is designed for confirmation and context, not as an automated trade signal system.

0) Quick Start (Recommended First Setup)

If you want the “standard” experience with minimal noise:

  • UseClosedBarsOnly = true
  • LookbackBars = 2000–3000 (PC dependent)
  • ShowLiveTail = true
• [3] UI PANEL
  • EnableUIPanel = true
  • Keep InitPivot/InitZigzag/InitSwing/InitSMC/InitFibo/InitVertical/InitDirection/InitZone = true
• [10] ALERTS
  • EnableAlerts = true
  • AlertMacd0Cross = true
  • AlertBreakoutHighLow = true
  • AlertFiboLevel = false (enable later when you know what level you want)
  • AlertPopup = true
  • Others off initially

CustomMacdName = "MACD"

• The indicator uses a MACD source via iCustom.
• Default is MACD (the standard MACD indicator).

When to change

• Only change if you have a custom MACD file in your Indicators folder that you want to use as the data source.

Example

• You built a modified MACD called MACD_Smooth.ex4 → set:
