Tested StyleGan on Nigerian photographer JD Okhai's hair photo series on a limited dataset from publicly available images . What's fascinating about his hair series is the relationship to the events of the time especially around architecture. Some of the designs were abstractions / references of post independence modern architecture, and the new building typologies of the time such as Onile Gorogo (tall house/skyscraper) or Eko Bridge.
His hair series are as much a study of mini narratives about the exuberance of then newly independent Nigeria
