In a world of abundance we all find it hard to find what we're looking for, and subsequently trust that we've made the right decision. We believe this is also valid in the professional environment, where making a match between talent and job has become increasingly complex. There are too many marketplaces, too many intermediaries, too many jobs openings, too many freelancers to choose from. Freelancers are increasingly being put in a position of 'quick and dirty' and are often not valued and invested in in the same way that people with a fixed contract are. This is why we have chosen to prioritize quality and longevity over quantity. We are building an invite-only network that revolves around the principle of trust through association.

For Talent - By Talent**.**

To build our network we must be critical about who can join. At OpenTalent, we're all about Diversity & Inclusion, which is one of the reasons we applied to becoming a B Corp certified company (work in progress). But to build the network we aspire to become, we seek to work with people that we admire, people who we can trust, people that demonstrated to hold superb work ethics and who take pride in delivering top value for their clients. These are the type of people we aim to include in the OpenTalent network. And what better way to grow the network than to ask our members to help along. That's why OpenTalent is an invite-only network; for talent, by talent.

So far, over 100 people received a direct invite from us to join the network. Each of these people came highly recommended, or worked directly with someone from our founding team. Each newly invited members can invite another 5 people to join. And so on, and so on.

The companies we serve can also invite people, like their existing freelance pool. When someone gets invited by a company, this person also attains the right to refer new talent.

Companies that use OpenTalent may also invite agencies and consultancies, who in turn may invite their workforce. Those people invited by an agency also attain the right to invite new talent.

Last, OpenTalent also holds the right to invite new people. Recommendations directly from our network, or signups on our website, may trigger us to send an invite. We review each candidate that signs up and based on a mix of 1st and 2nd degree connections, someone's track record and an internal due diligence, we may extend an invite to join the network.

Each profile on OpenTalent showcases how someone joined the network; directly, through a client or agency, or through someone else already part of the network. When people have the right to invite others, OpenTalent will showcase an extra rating based on the quality of the referral. Higher ratings may help improve someons's matching with new job opportunities.

How we monitor quality, continuously.

To not only rely on our network for talent curation, we developed a range of features to test, verify and curate talent on a continuous basis. We believe access to data results in new levels of transparency, which in turn results in new levels of trust. At OpenTalent we strive to be the catalyser for companies to build a high-trust remote workforce and unlock unrivaled business value. Examples of how we drive trust and transparency through our platform include;
