π Professor of Record
University faculty partner. Manages official academic requirements, records, and university-level logistics.
π Adjunct Instructor
Course lead. Teaches, runs the team, and is the main point of contact for students and CodePath staff.
π» Tech Fellow (TF)
Student support specialist. Drives engagement, monitors progress, and delivers direct support during and between sessions.
ποΈ DFC Team
Program backbone. Operational support, mentorship, and escalation pathways for the whole team.
Every role depends on the others. Here is how the key partnerships function in practice.
π POR + π Adjunct
The POR and Adjunct are the universityβCodePath bridge. The POR covers what only a faculty member can handle β records, registration, credentials β while the Adjunct leads instruction and team coordination. When students have persistent attendance or performance issues, both partners on the response.
π Adjunct + π» TFs
The Adjunct-TF relationship is the operational core of the course. The Adjunct assigns students to TFs, leads weekly meetings, and directs student support strategy. TFs bring frontline observations β who is struggling, who is disengaged, who has not submitted β and the Adjunct coordinates the team response.
π» TFs + Students
TFs are usually the first to notice a problem. The expectation is proactive outreach: do not wait for students to ask for help. If attendance is slipping or submissions are missing, a TF reaches out via Slack early β before issues become harder to address.
π Adjunct + ποΈ DFC Team
The Adjunct is the primary point of contact with the DFC Team. Monthly 1:1s with the Program Manager keep the support loop open. For urgent concerns, use the #dfc-{semester+yr}-{school}-{course}-instructors Slack channel and tag the Sr. Implementation Coordinator and/or Program Manager.
