🎓 Professor of Record
University faculty partner. Manages official academic requirements, records, and university-level logistics.
🍎 Adjunct Instructor
Course lead. Teaches, runs the team, and is the main point of contact for students and CodePath staff.
💻 Tech Fellow (TF)
Student support specialist. Drives engagement, monitors progress, and delivers direct support during and between sessions.
🏛️ DFC Team
Program backbone. Operational support, mentorship, and escalation pathways for the whole team.
Every role depends on the others. Here is how the key partnerships function in practice.
🎓 POR + 🍎 Adjunct
The POR and Adjunct are the university–CodePath bridge. The POR covers what only a faculty member can handle — records, registration, credentials — while the Adjunct leads instruction and team coordination. When students have persistent attendance or performance issues, both partners on the response.
🍎 Adjunct + 💻 TFs
The Adjunct-TF relationship is the operational core of the course. The Adjunct assigns students to TFs, leads weekly meetings, and directs student support strategy. TFs bring frontline observations — who is struggling, who is disengaged, who has not submitted — and the Adjunct coordinates the team response.
💻 TFs + Students
TFs are usually the first to notice a problem. The expectation is proactive outreach: do not wait for students to ask for help. If attendance is slipping or submissions are missing, a TF reaches out via Slack early — before issues become harder to address.
🍎 Adjunct + 🏛️ DFC Team
The Adjunct is the primary point of contact with the DFC Team. Monthly 1:1s with the Program Manager keep the support loop open. For urgent concerns, use the #dfc-{semester+yr}-{school}-{course}-instructors Slack channel and tag the Sr. Implementation Coordinator and/or Program Manager.
