Job Search from Scratch Series

Most job seekers mass apply through a portal, only to get lost in the pile. The fastest way to land a role in today’s job market? Go straight to the people making the hiring decisions. 🤓

👉 Step 1: Search Smart on LinkedIn

  1. Go to the LinkedIn search bar and type:

hiring [your job title] — e.g., hiring social media

  2. Under “posts”, filter by “past week”

Applying early increases your chances dramatically. Speed is the name of the game.

You’ll now see posts from hiring managers actively looking for someone just like you/their right hand person.

👉  Step 2: Engage + Reach Out

✏️ Tip: Given the current job market, companies are hiring intentionally aka the chances of you getting an interview is if you: a) align with the role, company, mission

b) hit all of the requirements for the role

Once you find a job that feels like a good fit:

Comment on the post: even a short, genuine response puts you on their radar.
