In keeping with GS1’s commitment to creating a comprehensive global brand while supporting local languages, we are setting forth these guidelines to ensure that there is consistency within GS1 Member Organisations (MOs) whose websites will show a version that is formatted for right-to-left reading.

Mirror the layout and components

For languages which are read from right to left, page layout and components should be mirrored to ensure content is accessible. Right-to-left layout not only affects the direction of text, but also layout and graphics, particularly graphics depicting chronology.
