Objective
Provide a clear outline of what to do for the Server Review Cards.
Scope
All FoH.
Procedure
1. Before the Shift
- Ensure you have enough review cards stocked in your server book or apron for the entire shift.
- Write your first name clearly in the designated area before service (or as you distribute each card).
- Confirm cards are clean, not bent, and professionally presented.
2. During Service
- Deliver exceptional hospitality throughout the guest experience (attentiveness, timeliness, and follow-through).
- Identify ideal moments to present the card:
- After a positive comment or compliment
- When guests mention they’re locals or repeat customers
- As you drop the check with a smile and genuine gratitude
🗣 Example Script
“It was my pleasure to serve you tonight! If you enjoyed your experience, it would mean a lot if you could drop us a quick 5-star review. Just scan this card — it goes straight to our page!”
3. Card Distribution Guidelines
- Each server must hand out one card per table (not per guest unless requested).
- Cards should never be left on empty tables or counters. They must be presented personally.
- Cards must include the server’s name before being given.
- Do not pressure guests — invite warmly and thank them for their visit regardless.
4. End of Shift Accountability
- Each server is expected to distribute a card to every table served.
