Returning TF Technical Prework

📌 Do You Need to Submit?

You only need to submit prework for each course or all courses that are new (to you).

A course is “new-to-you” if ALL are true:

• You have never completed the course as a student (observer status doesn’t count)
• You have never been a TF for the course
• You have never supported a higher-level course in the same stream

💡 Example: If you’ve passed or TF’d WEB103 —> Web101 and 102 are NOT new to you

🎯 Prompt Goals & AI Expectations

Each prompt is designed to evaluate two things:

1. Your technical understanding
2. Your ability to use AI as a teaching and learning tool

Your response should not just solve the problem, it should show how you would guide a student using AI.

🤖 What to demonstrate:

• How to use AI to support understanding, not just generate answers
• How you would guide a student’s thinking step-by-step using AI
• How to prompt AI effectively to get helpful, learning-focused responses
• How to use AI to:
  • Break down problems, explore concepts, provide hints or alternative explanations, reinforce learning with examples, etc.
