Well done Amiodarone is a membrane – stabilising antiarrhythmic drug that increase the duration of the action potential and refractory period in the atrial and ventricular myocardium. Indication Ventricular fibrillation or pulseless ventricular tachycardia refractory to defibrillation Dose 300mg bolus IV diluted in 5% dextrose (or other suitable solvent) to a volume of 20mL. Further dose of 150mg Amiodarone if VF/pVT persist after 5 defibrillation attempts
a) 0.5mg IM of 1:10000
b) 0.5mL IV of 1:10000
c) 0.5mg IM of 1:1000
