Work Experience
RSM US LLP | Jun 2022 – Present
Senior UX Researcher | Remote
- Facilitated the introduction of research into a client engagement and definition of business goals, resulting in the business accepting an acquisition offer.
- Improved student and teacher experiences for multiple Carnegie Learning products through research-based recommendations and made these accessible to all teams by leading the creation of a knowledge repository in Miro. MATHstream, which I spent most of my time conducting research for, earned the “Adaptive Program of the Year” award by the 2023 EdTech Breakthrough Awards.
- Led planning of multi-day, multi-facility, on-site research with cancer patients in both English and Spanish to identify frustrations with the client’s phone system. Due to the stressful nature of the study, I planned for patient stress and compassion fatigue by creating short and ethical discussion guides (in English and Spanish), scheduling breaks, alternating duties, gathering mental wellness resources, and facilitating mindfulness activities throughout the trip. The study was a success, resulting in completely anonymous insights that contributed to the redesigned phone experience. The assets created for this study continue to be reused.
