Resume Tips

• Be honest. Don’t add things you didn’t really do.
• One page is enough. Keep it clean and easy to read.
• Start every line with an action word like helped, created, or led.
• Use real examples. Write what you did, not what you think sounds fancy.
• Show what you learned, even if the job was small.
• School projects, babysitting, tutoring, or helping at church all count.
• Read it out loud. If it sounds confusing, fix it.
• Ask a friend or teacher to check it before you send.

Cover Letter Tips

• Start with hello and your name.
• Say what you’re applying for and why it matters to you.
• Write like you’re talking to someone who doesn’t know you.
• Tell one story that shows effort or growth.
• Keep it short and honest. Two or three short paragraphs is fine.
• Don’t try to sound perfect. Just show you care and want to learn.
• End by saying thank you and include your contact info.
