Preface
- Thank you all for participating! I was expecting like 80 responses, and I got over 1000. Awesome surprise.
- Some apologies for the delay on getting the results out. It turns out that processing a dozens-long survey with >1000 responses where each question has an "other" option takes some time. Alas, I did it to myself :^)
- Take these results with some salt:
- The survey is not designed particularly well, and often I wrongly assumed that respondents would agree with me on how the response choices are pronounced. (Which is super silly because the whole point of the survey is about pronunciation differences)
- Some responses were dropped, typically because I could not understand them (sorry, folks, I don't know IPA that well 😥)
- Anyway, enough of that!
- Enjoy!

Shout-outs to the following responses:
- "I visualize them instead"
- "I usually tilt my head and just remember the tilting"
- "I have a crush on Ryleigh Carlson" — with 21 responses. I suppose this is what I get for not enabling IP checking, lol
Notes:
- I personally pronounce it "tack"; I was somewhat surprised to find that doing so is uncommon. It's super convenient: only one syllable, and I find it nicer to say than "dash"!
In your head, "sudo" is pronounced ...
