Look deeper into restlessness and we can see that it can hold many different ingredients; dissatisfaction, disappointment, despair.
So what causes restlessness? Truth is that it can have many different causes, in fact any unpleasant thought, emotion, or experience can throw us off centre and makes us restless.
In our world of competing demands & expectations we often feel overwhelmed and this can induce a permanent state of restlessness where we are trying to move in different directions all at the same time.
To be restful then requires balance, which requires focus & effort, no wonder we often feel restless.
