AVEA is a Swiss startup founded in 2022 with the mission to help people extend their healthspan through optimised nutrition with dietary supplements. The company develops dietary supplements that synergistically combine ingredients designed to target key hallmarks of aging, including energy and NAD+ metabolism, collagen production and skin health, joint mobility, gut health, blood sugar balance and sleep.

Recently a clinical study on AVEAs novel approach to collagen was published in Nautre’s npj aging.
As Responsible Person Food Law / Quality Assurance according to Art 73 LGV you work with our global compliance team to ensure that all food supplement products placed on the Swiss market by the Swiss distribution entity comply with Swiss food law and that the company properly fulfils its regulatory self‑control obligations towards the authorities.
What will you do:
- Act as our Swiss distribution company’s responsible person for food law and regulatory compliance for all food supplements in Switzerland.
- Work with the global compliance team to continuously improve the internal self‑control system (HACCP-based risk assessment, specifications, release processes, traceability, complaints and recall procedures).
- Review formulations from a Swiss regulatory perspective (permitted ingredients, maximum levels, prohibited substances, Novel Food questions) in collaboration with global compliance team and external manufacturers.
- Review and approve labelling : packaging texts, mandatory information, warnings,, marketing materials and inserts for the B2B market in Switzerland .
- Maintain complete product documentation (product files including specifications, certificates of analysis, supplier documentation, risk assessments) to be inspection‑ready at any time.
- Act as primary contact person for cantonal enforcement authorities (e.g. food control, chemist’s office), including registration/notification of the business, preparation for inspections and follow‑up of any measures.
- Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments and proactively update internal procedures and product concepts where needed.
What are we looking for
- A natural person with a registered domicile in Switzerland
- University degree in food science, food technology, nutrition, pharmacy, chemistry or a comparable field.
- Several years of experience in regulatory affairs and/or quality assurance in the food or food supplement sector, ideally in the Swiss market.
- Solid knowledge of Swiss food legislation for food supplements (including labelling rules and health claims) and practical experience in setting up or running self‑control systems.
- Experience in working with authorities and in preparing and accompanying audits or inspections.
- Very good German skills and good English skills; additional languages are an advantage.
- Structured, reliable and hands‑on working style, high sense of responsibility, and the ability to translate legal requirements into pragmatic processes in a small, growing company.
