How to Record Your Replay
The process for recording your game will vary depending on the game and the system you play on. You can find a breakdown of the various platforms, with recording instructions, at Gameplay Recording Instructions.
Additional Tips
- Try to minimize dead time on your recordings. Ideally you should start recording when the match starts and stop when it ends. Alternately, you can trim your recording to just the match you’re submitting.
- If you send a single video with multiple matches in it, use the Review Editor to add timestamped comments to indicate where each match starts in that video.
Uploading to the Metafy Library
Your Metafy account grants you access to your own media library, where you can upload videos for review. You can upload replay videos to your library at any time, then submit them separately or in groups to your coach for Replay Reviews. To upload videos:
- Click the Library icon in your side navigation rail.
- Click the Upload Video button.
- Locate your clip:
- If it’s on your hard drive, you can either navigate to its location or drag and drop.
- If it's on YouTube, you can paste the URL.
- Be sure to associate your clip with a game, and include a Match Count (the number of matches in your clip). You can also give it a title and add tags.
- Please note that you can edit these after upload from within the Library, if you need to.
- Add any additional videos using the Choose files button.
- Click Upload [Number] Replay[s].
Once your videos are uploaded, you can access them and add comments, combine clips, and directly book a coach from within the Review Editor.
How to Use the Review Editor
Before You Submit Your Replays
Your uploaded replays will appear in the Library, and from there you can combine and annotate them before submitting them to a coach for review.
- You can also edit the Title / Game / Match Count / Tags.
