If the invitation to enrol or register online hasn’t been mentioned on your Letter of Admission or Letter of Invitation, you are required to enrol or register online by sending an e-mail to [email protected].

Exchange students who already received their account information do not need to send this e-mail.

If we require to see additional documents as hard copies, we will communicate this through e-mail.

Your student card

You’ll receive your student card during the first days after your arrival.

Keep this card close – not only because you are required to show it when taking exams or when going to a university library, but also because it comes with a lot of advantages:

• It allows you to make use of Ghent University facilities and infrastructure, such as the student restaurants, sports centre, bike rent, etc.
• Card holders get a discount at the movies, when visiting museums or historic buildings, …

Students arriving in February 2024

For exchange students: you can pick up your student card at the faculty during the welcome session. Except for the student at the Faculty of Medicine and health sciences. Please also pick up your card at the **Registrar’s Office** during opening hours.

Newly arriving degree students should pick up their student card at the **Registrar’s Office** during opening hours.
