Have a greater demand for your time than supply.

By adding more things on your plate, your reason why is that you need to get this done so that you can start doing those things.

E.g. if you start a business whilst at university, you have to get uni work done quickly so that you can continue to work on the business.

Be excited for something else

By having something you're excited for but can't start until you've finished this, you'll want to finish this to start that.

E.g. by buying 5 books that you're very excited to read, you'll want to finish the book you're on so that you can start reading the new books.

Remind yourself of the importance of speed

Remind yourself by getting things done quickly, you're also learning the skill of getting things done quickly. This is an essential skill because sometimes you'll need to get things done quickly, and this prior training will help.

Create a reward

Create a reward that you can only receive once you've finished this task.

E.g. you can't watch your favourite TV show until you've washed the dishes.

Create a punishment

Create a punishment that you'll receive if you don't complete the task.

E.g. paying your accountability partner $10.
