I designed and built a real-time spending tracker plugin tailored for me to save my spending and effectively manage it. It helps me monitor my expenses live and alerts me when I’m nearing or exceeding my monthly budget. This tool acts as both a functional solution for my daily finances and a portfolio to demonstrate my ability to solve real-life problems and test the idea without code knowledge.

❗️Define the Problem

I struggled with:

• Overspending before I noticed patterns in my spending behavior
• Difficulty keeping track of my monthly spending
• Forgetting to log small daily purchases

💡 Solution

A lightweight, Chrome browser-based plugin that:

• Displays a simple, visual dashboard with charts and summaries
• Tracks and updates my spending in real time
• Categorises transactions automatically
• Sends proactive alerts when I’m approaching or exceeding budget limits
