We established a unified open dataset of impact and web3 ventures [1], co-hosted a ReFi Rate-athon [2], built a public museum at MRV Day [3], gathered 72 founders for ReFi Summer Founder’s Circles [4], launched ReFiJobs.com with over 100 jobs [6], and reached over 650 subscribers on ReFi Roundup [7].

All of this thanks to Gitcoin GR14! 🎉

Overview

Thanks to the generosity of the Gitcoin community, we received significant funding which has given us the opportunity to deepen our culture build to lay the foundation for a protocol that unlocks a new level of coordination for people and planet.

Below is a quick update on both the culture build and protocol build.

We decided to focus 80% of our efforts on the culture build during the early part of the bear market as we felt it was pre-requisite to building a successful, lasting protocol with sustainable tokenomics.

Culture Build

Below are the main initiatives we undertook as apart of the culture build with a quick headline update.

1. ReFi Podcast - Launched Season Two and reached 15k downloads
2. ReFi Circles - Supported 72 Founders to organize into 11 different Founder’s Circles during ReFi Summer
3. ReFiDAO.com - Built a shared open database with Impacta.Finance, PrimeDAO and the Impact DAO cartography community, new UI coming soon
4. ReFi Fellowship (8 week course with open source curriculum) - postponed to 2023 by our partner
5. ReFi Contributor Program - postponed to 2023
6. Kernel Regeneration Guild - KB6 was an empty block; we’ll be participating as fellows in KB7, so taking a pause until KB8
7. ReFi Roundup - Published weekly articles and Deep Dives with over 650 subscribers
8. ReFi Garden Workshops (1-2 hrs) - postponed to 2023
9. ReFi Jobs & Talent Collective - Launched ReFiJobs.com with Grant Trahant from Causeartist and hosted over 100 jobs from 20+ ReFi ventures
