Re:Path is a concept for enhancing the classic Minecraft experience by providing two distinct options, both aimed at keeping the core gameplay "truly vanilla-friendly":
1. Client-Side Modpack (IMPORT MODRINTH)
This is a modpack that exclusively includes client-side mods.
- Goal: To improve the player's experience (performance, quality of life, visuals) without forcing server owners or other players to install anything.
- Use Case: You can use this modpack to play on any standard vanilla Minecraft server (or even most Realms) without compatibility issues.
- Examples of Mods: Performance optimizers (like Fabric/Forge/NeoForge with performance mods), HUD additions, visual tweaks (like better clouds or animations), and minor quality-of-life improvements.
2. Datapack (For Realms or Small Servers)
This is a datapack designed to add features and tweaks to the gameplay itself.
- Goal: To slightly modify or expand the base game's features using in-game tools that are considered "vanilla."
- Use Case: Ideal for Realms or small private servers with friends, as datapacks are installed server-side and are automatically loaded by every connecting player, even those with a completely unmodded client.
- Examples of Datapacks: Custom crafting recipes, small quality-of-life functions (like one-player sleep or custom mob drops), changes to world generation, loot tables and progression.
3. A series of resourcepacks to enchance the game
Minecraft textures already look pretty but we thought some of them could be adapted and enhanced so we include two resoucepacks, one is needed and the other is optional. The recommended list is:
