“The gods are gone. The demons are not. So I made a deal — not with them, but with the fire.”
In the blighted outskirts of Morricone — along salt-scarred trails and in the shadow of shattered chapels — the Hellstalkers endure. Part folk hero, part pariah, they’re the last line between home and horror. They use forbidden knowledge and cursed rites to hunt down creatures not born of this world — fiends, undead, and the twisted aberrations that slither through cracks in reality. Some see Hellstalkers as blasphemers. Others call them the only thing standing between the West and the end of all things.
You’ve bound corrupted sigils and wicked truths into your weapons.
When you hit a fiend, undead, or aberration, you may force the creature to make a Charisma saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier). On a failed save:
“You’ll find it easier to fight me. I’m already broken.”
You’ve carved the secrets of devils and worse into your bones.
Additionally, you may ritually bind a small object (amulet, shell casing, bullet, etc.) as a Hellbrand Focus. While carrying it:
You may use it as a spellcasting focus.
You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened by fiends, aberrations, or undead.
If a creature within 10 feet of you would be reduced to 0 hit points by a fiend, undead, or aberration, you may choose to drop to 1 hit point and take the damage instead, preventing the ally from falling.
You can use this feature once per long rest.
