Project Overview
This research project aims to support both builders and users in the RWA community. The research output is a report that serves as a reference for building and evaluating RWA projects. For builders, it provides general legal guidelines and best practices to save time and costs. For users, it simplifies the evaluation process with clear rubrics, helping them make informed decisions.
Potential Impact on Arbitrum Ecosystem
- This research aims to enhance the accessibility and usability of RWAs on Arbitrum by simplifying legal structures, reducing entry barriers for builders, and improving user understanding.
- It builds on the STEP initiative to further boost on-chain transactions, usability, and retail access.
- The project is expected to save legal fees of up to $50,000 and development time of at least two months for RWA builders on Arbitrum.
Execution Plan
The research project will produce three detailed write-ups of 10-15 pages each of which will be structured under the following three headings:
- Legal Structures for Builders and Awareness for Users: Offer clear regulatory information, compare international KYC/AML requirements, and simplify RWA project details for user clarity.
- Create Rubrics or Criteria for Evaluating RWAs: Define evaluation parameters and establish a rating system to help users understand and compare RWA projects.
- Simplified Purchase Process & Focus on Retail: Simplify and explore retail onboarding processes including on/offramp, swapping, min-purchase amount and simplified KYC.
