This document contains a great introduction: https://docs.google.com/document/u/1/d/1_mGLsywMIWZA_EdHEut2fh7dcxAT29ZctUHSMAuiiYM/edit. This notion page in general is a mess, because I adapted and used it for the TED Talk.

Powerful lines —

“the more I dig into this regenerative idea, the more I realize that this is going to define all of our lives in this room.”

Nietszche said you "can judge a man by how much truth he can handle.' Operating in a manner which does not destroy our planet is something we just have to face as humans. Adapting our underlying Austrian or Keynesian economic system to one modeling natural systems principles is the system that does so in the least autocratic and most natural way possible.

The human economy is entirely an extension of the natural ecosystem and we're effectively strangling the goose that makes the eggs we live off

You could also throw in how the Maya, Ancient Greeks, Iceland Vikings among others had their civilizations decline or collapse due to environmental degradation

Powerful quotes

Only when the last tree has been cut down, the last fish been caught, and the last stream poisoned, will we realize we cannot eat money.Osage saying, circa 1893

By bringing economics and ecology together, we can help save the natural world at what may be the last minute – and in doing so, save ourselves.Sir David Attenborough

Most powerful in general

All stories or obvious conflicts with reality.
