After meeting with the Prescription team on 3.6.2024, they have shared the following questions for our clinicians / diabetes expert.
SPECIFICITY AND SCOPE
- Do we have a target population beyond people with diabetes?
- Solid on inclusion for diabetics but group members remember clinicians mentioning that they might wish to include those that regularly take heart medication
- What are the names of the most accessible / commonly prescribed medications?
- Generic v. Name Brand? Of course, we wish to be cognizant of most, but wish to include the most popular option for initial playtesting.
- Common dosage?
- Would widening our audience to all individuals that routinely take prescription medication compromise any of the goals of the clinician’s research?
- Are there non-negotiables for the clinicians aside from accessibility across language barriers?
CLINICIAN USE
- Can you walk us through your process of creating the informational sheet?
- How did you decide what information was most pertinent to share?
- For example, “What is important information for me to remember?”
- How do you wish for our project to complement your work in AND outside the clinical environment?
- For example, do you wish to be able to leave the room? Do you wish for the application to encourage self-regulation and medication reminders?
DIABETES
- We are including foods, activities and actions that have both positive and negative influences on diabetics’ health. What are some foods and exercises/activities that are must-haves, capturing the widest audience.
- Presently, the team has the examples of caffeine and alcohol consumption as activities that have adverse consequences
- What is the most widely recognized symbol for insulin?
- The team has begun with a vial but is concerned if they ought to create an epipen. One or the other? Both?
PRIVACY CONCERN
- Although it would make for a better tailored experience, would asking the player to list their medications and dosages pose a privacy concern?
