Who we are: Zaya Care is a venture-backed seed-stage startup with a mission to establish a new standard of comprehensive maternity care in the U.S. Zaya connects parents with insurance-covered pregnancy and postpartum specialists, complementing today's routine care with visits by lactation consultants, pelvic floor therapists, mental health therapists, acupuncturists, and dietitians to address critical care gaps in today’s maternity journey.
As the Head of Payer Partnerships, you will drive the development of our payer partnerships and manage our Insurance operations team. You will be responsible for winning contracts with leading health plans through relationships with C-level executives, and will then ensure the successful implementation of the contracts. In this role, you will unlock Zaya’s expansion into new geographies, and redefine how maternity care is designed and measured in the US.
What you’ll be doing:
- Set the vision for our work with payers at Zaya– drive Zaya’s relationships with our strategic partners to identify opportunities for growth and innovation
- Develop a deep understanding of healthcare payments and revenue cycle management and set the vision for Zaya’s product and processes around it
- Establish seamless processes across teams to ensure we can effectively pitch to payers, secure contracts, and deliver on the promises we make to our providers and clients with clear information, timely processing of claims, and flawless payouts
- Grow and develop an inspired, hardworking team to support our payer sales & operations
- As a member of the Leadership Team, set direction of the company through ambitious goal setting and demonstrate ownership for company culture and performance
