Using a DVD rental company dataset, I transformed raw transactional data into actionable insights related to customer value, movie performance, and pricing strategy.

Business Context

The company operates a DVD rental business with:

• 599 customers
• 14,596 payment transactions
• 1,000 movies

Management wants to understand:

• Which customers generate the highest revenue
• Which movies drive the most rentals
• How pricing tiers impact demand

Advanced SQL is required because the database contains thousands of records and multiple related tables.

Business Question

• Who are the most valuable customers?
• Which movies contribute most to rental volume?
• How does movie duration relate to rental performance?
