Concept of the program

<aside> đź’« Goal: students will develop sense of their agency in the society through creating digital media projects and increasing their skills of critical thinking, collaboration, and communication.

For the purposes of our program, we will define agency as “the capacity to make choices and the power to act on those choices, especially to claim and voice rights” (A. Vidyarthi et al., 2021). In this sense agency is interconnected with adolescents’ self-efficacy, self-esteem, feeling of being significant, bodily autonomy, and experiences of connectedness (A. Vidyarthi et al., 2021; S. Alper, 2020). Based on this approach and content of the program we intend to work with participants’ agency through developing skills of social emotional learning, collaboration and communication and actual realization of projects.
