Sessions Health setup guide.

When you first log in to your new Sessions Health account, you will be brought to a setup guide to help you configure your account appropriately for your Practice. The second section is "Professional Information"

Below is a description of each field and why we are asking for it (All Fields in this section are optional, although you may be asked for them later if you try to generate a Health Insurance Claim 1500 form):

  1. NPI - A National Provider Identifier (NPI) is a unique 10-digit identification number issued to health care providers in the United States by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). It is required information in Health Insurance Claim 1500 forms.
  2. EIN or SSN - *If different from the one provided in "Practice Information". Only use this field if you wish to override the EIN or SSN you assigned to the practice.*Your EIN is a Federal Tax ID Number assigned to you. If you don't have one, you can alternatively provide your Social Security number here. It is required information in Health Insurance Claim 1500 forms and setting up your Stripe account.
  3. Taxonomy Code - Taxonomy codes are administrative codes set for identifying types of healthcare providers. It is optional and will be added to the Health Insurance Claim 1500 forms if included.
